Here the 26 contacts, separated into pairs by insulating material, are fitted into the moulding. The insulating strip is fitted and then everything is held in place by the clamping bar.

To complete the assembly the 26 way plaited cables are soldered in place and the cover fitted. The spacer, made on the moulding machine, now meets the mouldings made in pairs in the hand moulds. It acts as a cable clamp as well as a spacer.

75 menu cables are now complete and are being used on a regular basis.
